Students Take Charge

Vern Patrick Elementary School, Redmond, OR

There's no extra money available for extra PE or exercise programs at Vern Patrick Elementary, but the 4th and 5th graders have found a fun, and free, way to get activity into their day. Student mentors learn how to lead a team in 10-15 minute bursts of rhythmic aerobics each day, and so the students can all have a chance to exercise.
