CGI Sponsorship
The Sponsorship department secures funding from and manages the relationships with the private philanthropists, foundations and corporations who underwrite CGI’s operating costs. The support of sponsors is critical to CGI’s ability to convene the CGI Annual Meeting, CGI University, and other CGI events throughout the year. CGI is fortunate to be supported by many prestigious organizations, such as: The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation, Microsoft, HP, Procter & Gamble, Cisco, and VISA Inc.
Sponsorship interns will work side-by-side with the staff in the management of the Sponsorship department, including: research of and outreach to potential sponsors, management of current sponsor relationships, monitoring sponsor news, and tracking the process in organization’s database, Raiser’s Edge. The interns also have the opportunity to observe and take part in potential sponsor conversations, where they can gain sales and marketing experience. Depending on the season, interns also play a hands-on role in preparing for and facilitating Sponsor interactions on-site during the various CGI Meetings.
